Cryotherapy, or Cryostimulation, is the application of extreme low temperatures to particular parts of the body which activates and increases the body’s own healing mechanisms. This process speeds up the recovery time of injuries including sprains, twists, fractures and breaks, and also issues such as tendonitis, arthritis, joint and muscle stiffness, muscle tears or soreness, back ache, knee pains, plantar fasciitis, repetitive strain, bone and joint disorders and inflammatory conditions.
It is also used to treat and reduce acne, eczema and psoriasis.
It is a safe, natural and non invasive treatment and although very cold temperatures are used it is a very comfortable treatment, if not soothing.
