LBhealthcare launches NEW Musculoskeletal Service for Back and Neck Pain on behalf of NHS

Following a long tendering process, LBhealthcare in Whiteley is excited to announce it has been successful in winning a contract to deliver Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Osteopathy on behalf of the NHS to patients in Southampton, Hampshire and Portsmouth suffering back and neck pain.

LBhealthcare, trading as Ferneham Heath, has provided a very popular private Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Neurophysiotherapy service for the past 6 years. The acquiral of this new contract means that LBhealthcare is one of the latest private clinics to now be able to offer Physiotherapy and Osteopathy services on behalf of the NHS.

Practice Manager, Susan Bell said:

In the UK there are 16.5 million people suffering from back pain. These conditions contribute to the fifth highest area of spend in the NHS consuming £4.2 billion between 2008 and 2009 – and this is increasing each year.  We are thrilled that we are now able to offer local people improved access to NHS care for back and neck pain, help to reduce treatment waiting times and enable patients to reach their treatment goals sooner. We have early morning and evening appointments available to accommodate those with busy schedules – we anticipate that our new NHS Service will provide an extra choice for many people.

While still providing a private service, this new contract means that anyone visiting their GP with back or neck pain may now be referred to and treated at LBhealthcare’s Whiteley Clinic by one of the experienced Physiotherapy or Osteopathy Team.
