Before joining LBhealthcare, I worked for the NHS as part of a specialist neuro rehab team for 20 years. This gave me the opportunity to develop my neuro-physiotherapy skills in stoke and brain injury and understand the need for ongoing support for this complex group. I enjoy seeing the progress of each individual as they achieve their rehabilitation goals.
I have significantly enhanced my skills as a therapist since qualifying in integrated Myofascial Release (MFR). Myofascial Release is a gentle but powerful treatment approach that involves accessing and treating the fascial system which positively impacts the movement and function achieved at each session. I really enjoy the challenge of rehabilitating this complex group and can incorporate MFR as part of every treatment session.
We are lucky to have a hydrotherapy pool onsite at LBhealthcare and I am able to include hydrotherapy as part of my neuro physiotherapy treatment. Hydrotherapy is a great adjunct to land based therapy and can be included in the rehabilitation process. Clients can enjoy and experience freedom of movement in the warm water in a safe and supported environment.
Outside of work I have a family and we all enjoy outdoor activities and keeping fit and active.
I am state registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MSCP).
