Macmillan Coffee Morning
We have had our second Macmillan Coffee Morning and didn’t we do well! The cakes were varied and lovely, not to mention tasted great. Both patients and staff enjoyed the day and a chance to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I am very pleased to announce that the final tally for all donations was £229.03. It was a great success and we would like to say,
Thank you all for your continued support.

What is the difference between Osteopathy and Physiotherapy?
We asked LBhealthcares’s Osteopath Graham Flower to explain:
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy, specialising in treating the causes of pain originating from muscles, joints and connective tissues. Osteopaths view the whole body as a unit, and use manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue massage, stretching, mobilisation and physical manipulation to treat a range of muscular-skeletal (MSK) conditions.
Physiotherapy can also treat MSK conditions, and MSK Physiotherapists and Osteopaths can use similar techniques. However Physiotherapists tend to use joint mobilisations and rehabilitative exercises more, and do not use the higher grade physical manipulations that Osteopaths are extensively trained to carry out.
